The 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges Au Bas de Combe is lovely, revealing aromas of cassis, sweet berries and rich soil tones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and vibrant palate, with a concentrated core of fruit, lively acids and powdery tannins that gently assert themselves on the finish.

The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Au Bas de Combe comprises just three barrels, the smallest cuvée of the Domain. It has an opulent bouquet with dark cherry and raspberry scents, just a touch of brown spice. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly spiced entry, fine acidity, good density but maybe just missing a bit of tension on the finish.
