Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2036, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Feb 2020

Scents of rose petals, plums, wild berries and loamy soil introduce the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes, a medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping wine that's lively and concentrated, its rich structuring tannins cloaked in succulent, perfumed fruit. The finish is penetrating and thrillingly rose-inflected.

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru offers attractive dark cherry, bergamot and cold tea aromas on the nose, well defined and showing good intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, gentle grip and modest density toward the finish. Afford this a year or two in bottle and it should drink nicely over the next decade.
