The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes (Domaine Louis Jadot) exhibits aromas of popcorn, green apple, pear and orange oil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's a rich, open-knit rendition of this site, derived from the holdings of the erstwhile Domaine Prieur-Brunet.
The 2020 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru was showing a bit of reduction on the nose that made it difficult to read. The palate more expressive with a fine bead of acidity, lightly spiced citrus fruit laced with dessicated orange peel and stem ginger, the finish quite spicy and satisfying. Give this 4-5 years in bottle. Closure: Diam
A slightly fuller yellow, plumper, some vanilla, offering the expected Charmes amplitude, rounded, with pear and peach notes, not over exotic but a full mouthful nonetheless. Tasted: November 2021
