Easy and round and savoury. Very fresh and exciting. A real meal – beginning, middle and end. Long and dry on the end – serious wine! QGV (JR)

The 2017 Bourgogne Rouge, matured in one-year-old barrels, offers attractive crushed strawberry and raspberry preserve on the nose, displaying fine presence for a regional rouge . The palate is well balanced with fine-grained tannin, the fruit perhaps a little darker than some of its peers, and there is a light marine influence toward the finish. Enjoy over the next three or four years.
