The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Champs Perdrix is backward on the nose, sultry compared to the 2019. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit, graphite and cedar, quite stern on the finish but very well balanced. This should not be overlooked.

Juice and polish but perhaps not quite the edginess and raciness of a perfect Vosne. But certainly a solid effort. (JR)

The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Champs Perdrix is a cru that is traditionally picked late; however, due to global warming, since 2016 it has been picked earlier and earlier, according to Bruno Clair. The tightly wound bouquet features autumn leaf aromas filtered through red berry fruit, plus a touch of brown spice. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fresh line of acidity and a bright, vivacious, sorbet-fresh finish. Très bon .
