Drink 0-0, Neal Martin, Dec 2023

The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is quite reduced on the nose and struggles to really express itself. There doesn't seem to be sufficient complexity beneath that SO2. The palate is rounded and concentrated but it lacks tension and finesse. Some alcoholic heat on the finish does it no favors either, and it deteriorates in the glass. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
