Aromas of peach, pear, white flowers and blanched almonds introduce the 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeots, which is medium to full-bodied, muscular and textural, with a fleshy, open-knit profile. This is a generous, enveloping Morgeots that will drink well young.

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeots 1er Cru shows a little reduction on the nose, but behind that is plenty of well-defined, concentrated fruit that feels precise and focused. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and a little honeyed in texture, but with more complexity on the finish compared to, say, the Vergers or the Clos Saint-Murées. Excellent.
