Tasted blind. Very luscious and polished. Sweet and gorgeous, with no rough edges. This could only be Pomerol! (JR)

Coming from the Moueix team, the 2019 Château La Grave sports a deep ruby/plum color to go with a meaty, spicy, iron-laced bouquet that includes notes of ripe black cherries, chocolate, and spice. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and velvety textured, it's the finest vintage of this cuvée I've tasted. It's already open and complex yet should shed some tannins with 4-5 years of bottle age and cruise for 10-15 years in cold cellars.

The 2019 La Grave-Trigant-de-Boisset opens in the glass with aromas of rich, rather baked plums and cherry fruit. Medium to full-bodied, ripe and chunky, with powdery tannins and a somewhat liqueured finish, it reflects the sunny, dry conditions of the vintage.
