Revisited in bottle, the 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Couchereaux (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) offers up aromas of sweet cherries, berries and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless palate that's lively and integrated, fulfilling the promise it showed in barrel.

The 2020 Beaune Clos des Couchereaux 1er Cru has a sorbet-fresh bouquet, touches of blood orange suffusing the vivacious red fruit. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, gentle grip, slightly darker fruit than the Theurons with a dash of cracked black pepper on the finish. Good potential, but it will require 3-5 years in bottle.
