The 2021 Les Gravières is surprisingly rich on the nose with cassis and blackcurrant scents, floral notes emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe black fruit, fine acidity and a sweet, slightly oaky finish. Give it two or three years in bottle.

The 2021 Les Gravières is a powerful, intensely mineral, savory Saint-Émilion. Les Gravières is a distinctive wine, a wine of real character, but it also needs time. Dark red-toned fruit, gravel, incense, scorched earth and dried flowers open with a bit of coaxing. Tasted two times.

The 2021 Les Gravières has an attractive, well-defined bouquet with pretty red and blackberry fruit, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, lively and focused with insistent grip on the finish. Not bad at all. Punchy.
