2022 Petit Bocq

Tasting notes
The 2022 Petit Bocq has a rich, opulent bouquet with blueberry and blackcurrant scents that are almost jammy. Yet I admire the purity here. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins, moderate depth and a little truffle and black pepper towards the finish that is very Saint-Estèphe in style. Give this two or three years in bottle to shave its edges.

That is a really good Petit Bocq, feels intense and concentrated but manages to be understated at the same time. Delivers the freshness that is so important in the vintage, bitter dark chocolate, edges of mint leaf and crushed roses, super charming finish. A great quality value buy. 45% new oak for ageing.
Pretty black berry and blueberry aromas and flavors. Chocolate and citrus underneath. Polished tannins.
