Unquestionably the finest I've tasted from this château, the 2022 Château Deyrem Valentin displays a ruby/purple hue with a ripe yet fresh style in its darker cherries, currants, cedar pencil, and smoky tobacco-driven aromatics. It's medium to full-bodied, has nicely integrated background oak, sweet tannins, and a gorgeous finish. I followed this bottle for multiple days, and it held up beautifully with air. It will have two decades of prime drinking ahead of it. Drink 2027-2047.

The 2022 Deyrem-Valentin is just what any Margaux lover is looking for in this vintage without breaking the bank. The bouquet bursts with blackberry, blueberry and violet scents that could only come from this appellation. The palate has a sense of opulence, though there is structure and persistent grip, with veins of cedar and graphite underlying the finish. This bottle was tasted over three or four hours and coheres wonderfully. A long and prosperous life awaits.

Jean Sorge owner of this gourmet, exuberant, wine, filled with liquorice, black chocolate, damson, black cherry, enjoyable, highly charged but with balance and charm. 50% new oak barrels for ageing. Hubert de Boüard consultant.

Silky tannins, edges of violet and peony flowers, firm tannins, a little drying or certainly extremely savoury, good quality ripe fruits, has grip and tension through the mid palate. Hubert de Boüard consultant. 50% new oak barrels for ageing.
