The 2013 Barbaresco Montefico Vigna Bric Mentina is rich, ample and explosive. A host of dark stone fruit, tobacco, licorice, smoke and leather make a strong first impression before the clean, bracing tannins that are such a Montefico signature kick in to give the wine its shape and overall backbone. There is so much to like in this powerful, classically built Barbaresco.
