The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has a generous, ebullient bouquet of dark cherries, violets and iodine aromas that possess real intensity. The palate is well balanced with a creamy texture, the red cherries and strawberry infused with vanilla and orange pith notes, leading to a sweet, candied finish that is very seductive. I wonder how long-term this will be.

Aromas of raspberries, berries, spices and creamy new oak introduce the 2018 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, broad and supple wine that's fleshy but nicely defined, concluding with a lively finish. This, too, should offer a broad drinking window.
Fermented in large vats before maturation for 15 months in oak barrels. Fleshy red fruits, rose and vanilla-pod on the nose. Lightly caramelised strawberries and red cherries on the palate. Supple tannins and savoury spices. (TP)
