Score 91/100 · Drink 2027-2046, Neal Martin, Oct 2025

The 2021 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru offers overt tropical scents on the nose that are pure and attractive but don't really convey the nobility of this vineyard. Pineapple and passion fruit scents gradually emerge after ten minutes in the glass. The palate is fresh on the entry with a keen line of acidity. Fine tension, nicely focused, quite sapid with a stern finish. Hopefully, the aromatics will gain some terroir expression with maturity because the mouth has potential. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
