The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Vigneux offers plenty of black cherries, boysenberry and floral scents on the nose, open and expressive. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of sweet fruit, fine tannins and density, quite sapid with a bit of muscle on the finish that will stand it in good stead for mid-term ageing.

Rather old-fashioned nose. Sweet and simple. A bit astringent on the end. (JR)

From a site below Les Suchots, the 2020 Vosne-Romanée Vigneux offers up notes of rose petals, spiced plums and berries. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, it's bright and fleshy, concluding with a saline finish.

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Vigneux, which Tardy mentioned tends to producer lower natural acidity, actually had better than average acidity in this vintage. This has an open-knit, well-defined bouquet with slightly minty red fruit. The palate is well balanced with juicy tannins, not complex, maybe a little attenuated towards the finish, but there is fine freshness here. Drink over the next 6-8 years.
