(just one barrel made): Good full bright red. Musky aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, peppermint and smoky oak, plus a whiff of liqueur-like red berries. Fat, silky and broad but not overly sweet; quite voluminous for a 2010 from this cellar, with an alcohol level of 13.5%. Builds impressively on the back half, saturating the entire mouth with flavor and virtually hiding its tannins today. Extremely long and smooth on the finish.

Quietly confident on the nose even if it is a bit open and evolved. And perhaps just a little dull – for a Richebourg. Powerful finish though. (JR)
