Score 92/100 · Drink 2026-2042, Neal Martin, May 2024

The 2020 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has a pure bouquet with predominately yellow fruit, candied orange peel, sesame and light lanolin aromas. Fine delineation, though perhaps just a little "sunny". The palate is ripe and tensile and has very good weight. This is a powerful Chevalier-Montrachet with white stone fruit towards the finish. However, it misses the length of its peers and leaves you feeling shortchanged. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
