Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2024-2032, Neal Martin, Dec 2021

The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Marconnets 1er Cru, containing 30% whole bunch was yet to be racked, which would explain that slightly surly aromatics at this stage. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red fruit laced with orange peel and marmalade, quite spicy towards the finish that just needs to muster a little more finesse. Fine.
