87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot. Open, bit of plum, bit of glue. Smells like it should be plummy and indeed there is a lovely cushion of ripe fruit – clamped, of course, in those slightly grim 2013 tannins, but the balance is there and if it's really available at £13 it's GV . Bit of a lean green streak on the finish, slightly soapy and sort of iron-tasting green in the way that spinach tastes, but not awful for it. (TC)

Good fragrance and nicely lifted Pauillac, quite elegant.
