Medium red. Reticent, rather monolithic aromas of black cherry and oak. Then almost surprisingly big and broad on the palate, offering excellent vinosity to the flavors of cherry, spices and flowers. Finishes saline and long but the rich, youthfully tough tannins call for a decade of patience.

The 2013 Corton Greves (under Domaine Louis Jadot) has a very floral bouquet with dried violet petals infusing the blackberry and cassis fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with very supple tannins, well-judged acidity and an endearing sense of harmony that bodes well, once this Corton is bottled. This is worth seeking out.
