Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2033, Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, Aug 2021

Sourced from a west-facing vineyard that was planted in 1968 on limestone and clay, the 2019 Sancerre Le Petit Chemarin has the most salinity in the Pinard range. It presents a welcoming aromatic profile of preserved lemons, ripe apples and a sprinkling of salt and cinnamon spice. There is a vibrant rush of acidity and a salty note on the finish. A powerful line of tension drives this home. Excellent balance and length.
