The 2020 Saint-Véran "Lieu (Inter)dit" has a very well defined bouquet with citrus peel, apple blossom, crushed stone and light apricot blossom scents that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is well-defined with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with superb salinity on the finish. Great potential.

There are 8,000 bottles of the brilliant 2020 Saint-Véran Lieu (Inter)dit, a blend of lieux-dits Côte-Rôtie and Terres Noires. Bursting with aromas of citrus oil, fresh bread, mandarin orange, pastry and Asian pear, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with a satiny attack that segues into a concentrated, seamless mid-palate. This is always a terrific cuvée, but the 2020 rendition is especially good.
