The 2015 Barbaresco Vanotu is the most potent of these 2015 Barbarescos from Pelissero. Here the flavors are dark and boldly sketched. Black cherry, plum, licorice, new leather and copious French oak are enshrouded by massive tannins. Today, the Vanotu comes across as a bit monolithic, but it also has tremendous depth and sheer concentration. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how the 2015 develops in the coming years.

Pelissero's 2015 Barbaresco Vanotu exudes freshness and energy, not to mention exceptional balance. Blood orange, pomegranate, ripe red cherry and French oak run through this super-expressive Barbaresco. The 2015 is bold and racy, but, like all of these wines, it needs more time in bottle to come into its own.
