The 2021 Morgon Côte du Py Cuvée Passerelle 577 comes from part of a single parcel that is micro-vinified. It is very well-defined with redcurrant, crushed stone and light floral scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a sappy entry. Lovely with a keen line of acidity, yet strict in style. This has a little more depth on the finish than the regular cuvée. It is really quite excellent.

Full bottle 1,312 g. In conversion to organic certification. The ripest nose of the Godard 2021s. Dried cherry, malted rye, deep-red juice pooling at the anklets of the fine-spiced tannins. A long, iron-spliced mineral tang that reverberates through the wine like an ancient copper gong. Almost pellucid tannic structure, like a cobweb. Nodes of bark-stem and leafiness. A wine that invokes stillness, a sense of withheld power. Empyrean intensity. Glorious length. (TC)
