Mid crimson. Intense nose. Structured and rather thoroughbred. Lovely to taste such different Marsannays. Well done! (JR)

The 2013 Marsannay les Grasses-Têtes has a well-defined blackcurrant and boysenberry bouquet armed with impressive fruit intensity and minerality. The palate is structured and masculine with very good depth and confit-finish that has a sense of authority and complexity. This is an intellectual Marsannay, although there are only two barrels, so grab one if you can.
