Dark violet color. Displays incisive aromas of black raspberry, cherry, candied flowers and incense, plus a suggestion of Asian spices. Stains the palate with sweet, mineral-inflected red and dark berry, spicecake and violet pastille flavors that shows serious depth of flavor, with no excess fat. Displays superb definition and floral lift on a strikingly long finish that's framed by polished, even tannins.

An intensely perfumed nose displays mineral-accented red and blue fruit and floral pastille scents that pick up smoky bacon and exotic spice flourishes with air. In a concentrated yet lively style, offering appealingly sweet cherry, blueberry, spicecake and candied violet flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows outstanding clarity and tension on a wonderfully persistent, floral-driven finish framed by fine-grained, slow-building tannins.
