Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

The 2016 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots has a refined bouquet with raspberry, wild strawberry, loam and light estuarine scents that commingle harmoniously. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, the 40% new oak nicely integrated, becoming more linear and grippy toward the saline finish that suggests that it will require 3 or 4 years in bottle.

40% whole bunch. Deep crimson. Quite a light nose. Very juicy fruit. Powerful and deep-throated. Quite a statement. This should give satisfaction with its combination of bright ripe fruit and structure. Wait awhile though. (JR)
