The 2021 Beaune Les Vignes Franches 1er Cru has a lovely, refined bouquet with vibrant red fruit laced with sous-bois and subtle tobacco scents. Fine focus. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy, red berry fruit, crisp acidity and touches of sour cherry with a slightly hard landing on the finish. It just needs a little more flesh around the bones.
