Single vineyard. MLF and 33% new oak. No bâtonnage. 12,000 bottles. There’s an attractive delicacy and restraint about this, compared with the regular Chardonnay, carrying lime, delicate oak spices and nuttiness, and flint notes. Ripe but not overripe, with a precision of citrus acidity, some baking spice and a long, creamy finish. (TJ)

The 2018 Reserve Chardonnay was matured in 40% new oak for 10 months. It is certainly more complex and involving on the nose compared to the regular Chardonnay, and almost Meursault-like in style, featuring grilled walnut and light pine nut aromas. The palate is fresh and saline on the entry, with great depth, gorgeous streaks of orange pith infusing the citrus fruit, and a precise, mineral-driven finish. Top-class (as usual).
