Tasting notes
The 2016 Pinot Noir Heritage Clones saw the same élevage as the Reserve and spent 16 months in 80% new French oak. All from the Calera clone, it offers more exotic blue fruits, wild strawberries, orange blossom, and incense aromas and flavors. It’s downright exotic aromatically and is medium-bodied, fresh, and vibrant on the palate, with beautifully integrated acidity. It’s my favorite in the lineup and is a thrilling bottle of Pinot Noir.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Heritage Clones Russian River Valley Estate comes from 100% Calera clones and aged in 60% new French oak. Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, it's a little closed to begin, giving way to notions of warm black cherries, mulberries, red plums and raspberry compote plus suggestions of wood smoke, mossy bark and violets. Full, richly fruited and with a beautiful, plush frame, it completely fills the mouth and satisfies on the finish. 110 cases produced.
