Certified biodynamic (Biodyvin). Owner/winemaker Olivier Humbrecht provides lots of technical data: bottling date January 2023; RS 3 g/l; TA 6.7 g/l, pH 3,1; yield 21 hl/ha. Planted in 1994 on a steep calcareous slope facing south-south-west. More immediately mineral on the nose, after the intense citrus of the Roche Roulée Riesling. A touch spicy. Dry, with mouth-filling intensity and a strong presence in the mouth. Long finish that is both citrus and savoury. Oily/mineral aftertaste. (JH)

The 2021 Riesling Heimbourg is from a steep limestone plot in Turckheim, with just a little clay and topsoil. It is a hot west and southwest-facing site with an average vine age of 22 years. The tell-tale reduction clouds the nose. However, the palate comes in with a striking lemony, zesty aspect. This is juicy, totally approachable, flowy, supple and bone-dry. Youthful and utterly citrus-focused with pure, bright lemon flavors. (Bone-dry)
