Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir 1861 Vineyard gives up pronounced notes of crushed Bing cherries, mulberries and cranberries with nuances of rose hips, lavender, tilled soil, forest floor and mossy bark plus a waft of dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers layer upon layer of red berries and floral notions, with a beautifully plush frame and oodles of freshness, finishing very long and fragrant. 46 cases were made.
