Cask sample. Pale ruby. Intense nose with real substance and a beginning, middle and end to the tasting experience. Attractive sweet start and savoury, mineral, very clean finish. Really successful. (JR)
The 2022 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru is much more expressive than the Les Theurons and develops a charming, quite discrete, terroir-driven bouquet with dried rose petals infusing the red fruit. The medium-bodied palate has very finely knit tannins and beautifully integrated oak, delineated and quite poised towards the almost Gevrey-like finish. Bon vin.
