Black cherries, licorice and cocoa mark the nose of the 2019 Cotes du Rhone Villages Terre d'Argile. Full-bodied, rich and dense, with almost fudge-like flavors and intensity, this super effort finishes long, velvety and mouthwatering. It should drink well for at least a decade.

The 2019 Côtes du Rhône Villages Terre d'Argile brings more sweet fruit than the 2020 yet has similar dark, peppery fruits as well as Provençal garrigue-like aromas and flavors. It’s a full-bodied, ripe, bombastic beauty that shines in the vintage. It certainly put a smile on my face, and Southern Rhône lovers out there will dig this.
