Score 89/100 · Drink 2002-2009, Pierre Rovani, Feb 2001

The 1999 Chassagne-Montrachet Vide Bourse has flowers, spices, minerals, talcum powder, and almonds in its aromatics. Medium-bodied and detailed, this is a lovely citrus, perfume, and floral-flavored wine. It is harmonious, refined, and has a crystalline, pure, and long finish. Projected maturity: 2002-2009. Importer: Vineyard Brands, Birmingham, AL; tel (205) 980-8802, and Louis/Dressner Selections, Long Island City, NY; tel (718) 433-4781.

Pale color. Perfumed, subtle aromas of lime, stones and white flowers. Subtle, juicy flavors of lime and lemon; at once creamy and penetrating, in the style of the vintage. Firm acids give this a brisk, racy finish. Showing very well.
