The 2015 Château Les Ormes Sorbet is another fine Cru Bourgeois. Possessing moderate concentration and depth, yet complex, perfumed notes of cherries, black raspberries and spice, it stays graceful and elegant on the palate, with integrated acidity and fine tannin. It should last for 8-10 years.

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Les Ormes Sorbet has a clean and perfumed bouquet, almost Margaux-like in style, well defined with blackberry, bilberry and hints of black olive. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, plenty of ripe black fruit laced with graphite and cedar, leading to a refreshing, quite spicy finish that is a joy. Superb! Tasted September 2017.

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Black cherry, simple palate with chalky tannin and fresh acid. Correct, balanced, straightforward. (RH)
