Score 93-95/100 · Drink 2026-2046, Neal Martin, Jan 2023

The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru has quite a heavy reduction on the nose that makes it difficult to read, though subtle floral scents emerge with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannins, wonderful structure and brimming with freshness. There is some oak to assimilate on the finish, but this should turn into Arlaud's finest Chambolle with 5-7 years on the clock.

Aromas of cherries, spices, orange zest and peonies preface the 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers, a medium-bodied, satiny and perfumed wine built around melting tannins and concluding with a saline finish.
