The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Petits-Monts 1er Cru has a clean and precise bouquet with red cherries, redcurrant jus, crushed limestone and floral scents that are beautifully defined. The oak here is seamlessly integrated. The palate is well balanced with pliant tannins. Wonderful symmetry. A pretty Vosne-Romanée with a bright, svelte and harmonious finish that frankly shows the other wines in this disappointing flight how it should be done. Beautiful. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Petits-Monts 1er Cru was fermented in concrete instead of stainless steel in order to lessen reduction, though there is still a little on the nose. Nevertheless, one can discern the precise red cherries and crushed strawberry aromas, that distinctive floral touch. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins, exquisite balance and quite a sustained, understated, slightly gourmand finish that lingers long in the mouth.
Pretty and ethereal, the 2021 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Petits Monts reveals aromas of raspberries, orange zest, warm spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a fleshy core of fruit, melting tannins and a mouthwatering finish, it's very true to site and vintage.
