Tasting notes
Bright, just-ripe fresh pear and a fresh, herbaceous note, alongside more classically tropical fruit and chalky minerality. There’s a core of intense, generous mango and pineapple on the fruit, driving on to a lemon-sherbet freshness, textured and round. Fermented and aged in 45% new oak, with 13.5% alcohol and 3.2pH. Blend : 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 44.5% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon Gris, 0.5% Muscadelle.

Grated ginger, preserved lemons against sharper citrus zest, juicy white peach, elderflower, white pepper, sage, pink peppercorns, balanced and mouthwatering. This is such a clever mix of bright vivid fruits and creamy brioche notes. 3.3ph, harvest August 22 to 31. 45% new oak for ageing, 16hl/h yield, no malolactic in this vintage, Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy director. A single point upgrade from En Primeur.
This château makes a fabulous white. Their 2023 Château Mouton Rothschild Aile D'Argent Blanc is based on 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 44.5% Semillon, and a splash of Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle, raised in 45% new oak. Ripe pineapple, crushed citrus, white flowers, and hints of toast all emerge from this beauty. A richer, medium-bodied, vibrant white that will shine on the dinner table, it should also have well over a decade of prime drinking.
