It's medium-bodied, supple, elegant, and juicy on the palate, with fine tannins, a seamless mouthfeel, and outstanding length. Drink this charming, seductive, and incredibly impressive Francs over the coming 7-8 years. Drink 2026-2033.
The 2023 Domaine des Cambes, 100% Merlot, is gorgeous. Floral and savory overtones lift a core of vibrant red cherry fruit, blood orange, pomegranate and star anise. Perfumed and wonderfully exotic, Domaine des Cambes is a real head-turner. Fans of these wines will adore it.
The 2023 Domaine des Cambes has a light, open nose that just misses the depth and concentration of the L'Aurage cuvée from Mitjavile. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, quite peppery, with a slightly reduced finish that denudes a little freshness and vitality. Give it a couple of years in bottle.
