Tasting notes
With a pitch-black nose of dark berry fruit, spice, plenty of cedar and graphite, the 2023 Duhart-Milon is exceptionally well built on the palate. There’s fantastic structure here, with ripe tannins over which the fruit is elegantly draped, flowing from the concentrated core to the long finish. Aged in 50% new oak, with a little more amphora this year (15%) and the rest used oak, with 13% alcohol. Blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot

Deep purple-hued, the 2023 Château Duhart-Milon offers up undeniably classic Pauillac notes of cassis, graphite, smoky tobacco, scorched earth, and darker currants. Based on 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot, it's medium to full-bodied and has a wonderfully balanced, layered mouthfeel, ripe, supple tannins, and outstanding length. It's another terrific effort from this estate that will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and cruise over the following two decades. Drink 2029-2049.
The 2023 Duhart-Milon is quite the powerhouse. A blast of dark-toned fruit, chocolate, spice, new leather, incense, licorice and dried herbs all stain the palate. This is an especially dense Duhart that really explodes on the back end. This is a big, big wine.
