(this wine was bottled last December; the other samples I tasted were bottled the following month): Calcaire -driven aromas of crushed stone and menthol. A fresh flavor of white peach is nicely framed by mineral-driven acidity. Finishes brisk and persistent. One of Bouzereau's four parcels is planted on deeper, flatter soil and brings early texture to this cuvée , which Bouzereau describes as "not a vin de garde ."

The 2014 Meursault Village les Grands Charrons, which will probably be bottled a little earlier than other crus, has a tightly wound, beeswax and honeysuckle-scented bouquet that needs a little encouragement from the glass. The palate is smooth on the entry with stone fruit notes: nectarine, some fresh pear notes and a hint of lemongrass to the finish that feels extended in the mouth. Again, this is a fine, charming Meursault that will be difficult to resist in its youth.
