The 2006 Magrez-Fombrauge showed very strangely with a slightly Mediterranean bouquet with black olives and mulberry. The palate is not as pleasurable as the nose and felt rather hard and bitter. I will seek to re-taste this at another point. Tasted April 2016.

Extremely dark. Port and oak and almost like Mendoza Malbec! Too forced and exaggerated with very tight tannins. Tarry finish. (JR)
