Aromas of rose petals, plums, orange rind and smoky berries introduce the 2019 D'Agassac, a medium-bodied, lively and nicely balanced wine that's elegantly fleshy and seamless. It's an attractive middleweight from this Haut-Médoc property on the rise.

Mostly Merlot, the ruby/purple-hued 2019 Château D'Agassac offers a solid, intense bouquet of both red and black fruits as well as sappy herbs, flowers, and cedar pencil. Nicely balanced on the palate, it's medium-bodied, has a good mid-palate, the vintage's fresh, elegant style, and solid length on the finish. It's borderline outstanding and well worth following over the coming 8-10 years or so.

The 2019 d'Agassac is a succulent, racy Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois. Red berry fruit, iron, herbs, licorice, mint, chocolate and dried flowers lend quite a bit of aromatic presence. The Cabernets in the blend are quite expressive today. Agassac has come together nicely.

Blackberries, bark, graphite and walnut husk on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins that are well integrated. Seamless and flavorful. Drink after 2022.
