Score 90/100 · Drink 2022-2032, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, May 2022

This is gourmet and round, softened tannins at four years old, and can easily begin to be drunk. Not showing huge concentration, majoring instead of smoked caramel and slightly high alcohols that plump out the fruit. Silky texture, enjoyable, with appellation signature. 39hl/h yield. No new oak. A very classic-styled red with wet earth, mushrooms and dark fruit. Medium to full body, lightly chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Well done.

Darkly spiced fruit on the attack, appealing spice box, liquorice and cigar, along with brambled fruits. The finish is a little abrupt as the tannins bite in.

Aromas of plum, pomegranate, rose-hip, graphite and vanilla. It’s medium- to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Layered and elegant. Second wine of Prieure-Lichine. Try from 2024.
