Full screwcapped bottle 1,274 g. Vines planted 1961–2010 at 440–490 m. Picked 23 February to 6 March. Broad spectrum of tropical fruits on the nose reined in to extreme tightness on the end of the palate as seems the Australian way with white wines, currently. I’m sure this will age beautifully but it's almost as though it were made to form part of their Museum late-release series rather than for current pleasure. Arguably just a little bit too demanding though there's an interesting herbal note. (JR)

This Pewsey Vale 2021 Single Vineyard Estate Riesling is quintessential Eden Valley Riesling—it is packed to the hilt with dry minerals, crushed rocks, white tea and citrus pith, all of it threaded together with saline acidity. It's a masterstroke every year—a reliable, value-for-money wine that speaks of variety just as much as it speaks of place. Awesome. And an epic vintage here, too.

A very fresh, piercing nose of sliced lemon with plenty of sweet perfume, too. The palate is similarly intense and vibrant with white stone-fruit and lemon flavors, delivered in an impressively intense and balanced mode. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
