A step up, the 2022 Rully 1Er Cru La Pucelle brings more richness as well as complexity. Ripe stone fruits, brioche, honeyed white flowers, and a kiss of orange blossom all emerge on the nose, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a layered, ripe mouthfeel, bright acidity, and a clean, lengthy finish. I love it today, yet it should keep nicely for 4-5 years, if not longer.

Quite a lot of colour here but the oak is restrained on the nose. A savoury character on the palate rather than upfront stone fruit. Zestiness adds to freshness on the finish. Plenty of complexity here – a fine Rully premier cru. (AWH)
