Trimbach's commercially most important wine, the 2012 Riesling, is a best buy again. Floral and clear fruit aromas on the nose lead to a round and elegant, perfectly dry, lovely pure and well structured palate with grip and finesse. This is a well-balanced Riesling that should be perfect to drink over the next 5 to 10 years.

Already some evolution on the nose but pretty dry and uncompromising on the palate. The white equivalent of the 2014 Montus Madirans I have just been tasting?! Hard work. I think this may take austerity to the limit. (JR)
