Score 90/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Neal Martin, Oct 2018

The 2016 Fontesteau has an elegant bouquet with cedar-infused black fruit, hints of truffle and bay leaf developing with aeration. The palate is well balanced with fine grain tannin, taut and linear but with impressive energy and tension towards the finish. This is a very well crafted Haut-Médoc that should give a decade’s worth of drinking pleasure. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.
